We had an exciting Friday morning with the U.S.S. Gravely passing by our waterfront on the way to Wilmington to be commissioned.  The Navy's newest missile destroyer is named after the first African- American Admiral, Samuel Lee Gravely, Jr. and I have to say firsts hand, is quite impressive.  Standing on the waterfront, waving to the men and women on deck, hearing the ships horn, I couldn't help feeling a sense of pride and excitement. The commissioning ceremony is to be held on Saturday the 20th.
