Kingsley Park, a Short Stroll from The Hammocks

Right on the outskirts of Historic Downtown Southport off of Moore Street sits a brand new community known as The Hammocks.
The Hammocks at Southport is everything one would want in a neighborhood. Quaint and quiet cul-de-sac living is combined with the perks of new customizable construction creating a community far superior to those that Southport has known for years. The developer Dennis Moller and his team are breathing fresh air into a City that is loved by so many people.

The community is situated in the heart of Southport where everything happens. Events such as the NC 4th of July Festival- an outdoor event with a parade and vendors, a farmer’s market on Saturdays throughout the summer, and a holiday event in December known as “Holly Days” with food, music, and fun just to name a few.
The cottage style homes in The Hammocks are the definition of modern luxury. With tiled walk-in showers, double vanity sinks, engineered hardwood floors, Carrara marble counter tops, wainscoted walls, and stainless steel Kitchen Aid Appliances all being standard features, these homes are hard to resist.

This Community has set a new standard of “home” in Southport. The Homes are priced competitively, rivaling against similar homes that are 10-15 years old. If Hometown Charm is what your striving for, The Hammocks at Southport is everything you need and more. Learn more about The Hammocks here:

A short 1/2 mile stroll from The Hammocks will land you at Kingsley Street Park, staring the mighty Cape Fear River head on, watching ships navigate their way to the State Port in Wilmington.  From the early 1960s to the late 1980s, the C.B. Caroon Crab Company operated on the waterfront where Kingsley Street Park is now located.   This was always a popular fishing spot as various fish were drawn to the area by discarded crab shells and pieces.  Some say the fish still migrate to this area today.
